Established with the vision of creating a welcoming dental practice, we have helped countless patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every patient receives the highest standard of care using the latest technology and techniques.
Whether you need a routine check-up, preventive care, cosmetic enhancements or urgent dental treatment, we are here to provide gentle, compassionate and professional services tailored to your specific needs
At your first NHS consultation at Serene Dental Practice, your dentist will carry out a full examination of your teeth, gums, and mouth. This may include x-rays if needed. You’ll receive advice on maintaining your oral health and, if treatment is required, a clear plan outlining what’s needed, which NHS band it falls under, and the associated cost. It’s a relaxed, informative visit designed to get you on the right path to a healthy smile.
Treatment times vary depending on the procedure. Simple treatments like check-ups or fillings may take 20–40 minutes, while more complex care such as crowns, dentures, or root canals might require multiple visits over a few weeks. Your dentist will give you a personalised timeline at your consultation.
Most dental treatments involve little to no downtime, and you can usually return to your normal daily activities straight away. Some procedures, such as extractions or oral surgery, may cause temporary soreness or swelling. If this applies to your treatment, we'll provide clear aftercare advice to help ensure a comfortable and smooth recovery.
The longevity of your treatment depends on the type of procedure, your oral hygiene, and regular dental check-ups. Preventive treatments, such as professional cleanings, provide ongoing benefits when combined with good home care, while restorations such as fillings, crowns and bridges can last for many years with proper maintenance. During your appointment, we will advise you on how to care for your treatment to help achieve the best long-term results.
